Dear Harrison Families,
Harrison School’s Pavilion is complete. It is a shining example of the strong partnership and dedication of the Harrison School PTA. Thank you for all your support in adding this wonderful addition for our students and families for years to come. Please see the letter from our PTA.
Our Halloween Parade at Harrison School is this Friday, October 30th! Please read the following letter with all the details.
Teacher conferences are open to all parents! Conferences are on November 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. All of these days are 12:00 pm dismissals for our students. If you have not signed up for a conference with your teacher, please do so ASAP. Conferences will be held on Google Meet, and your teachers will share the links. If you need to make other arrangements, please reach out to your teachers.
Finally, this is the last week of our Liberty Drive! I am amazed by the generosity of our community. We will be donating to Livingston Neighbors Helping Neighbors next week! Last chance to donate is this week! Thank you!
A few PTA reminders and upcoming events:
Our Celebrations Committee is preparing for Diwali at Harrison. There are many ways to get involved. If you are interested in lending a hand, please fill out the Diwali Volunteers Cultural Arts Committee form to sign up, and an organizing member will reach out to you.
Our Trunk or Treat is this Wednesday, October 28th, from 5-6:30 pm (rain date: 10/29) in the Harrison Parking Lot. Join us for a boo-tiful evening. Trick-or-Treat bags and voting ballots for the best-decorated trunk will be sent home in your child’s folder on 10/27. On-site admission will be available (bags while supplies last). We are still collecting candy donations to help support our family trunks. They can be dropped off in the coolers at 37 Elmwood Drive or 70 N Mitchell Ave.
Worry about one less thing to pack with our half-day snack sale. Sign up ends 10/28. Snacks will be delivered to your child’s classroom.
Our next restaurant giveback is on November 2 at Salad House. Mention “Harrison” while dining in or taking out, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit our PTA.
Save the date for our Mix ’n Mingle event (adults only) on December 3rd.
The 5th Grade Committee is holding a Thanksgiving Pie Sale. Order your pies from Alstede before November 19th, and pickup will be on Tuesday, November 24th.
