A Message from Mr. Garcia- 10-11-2026

Dear Harrison Families,

As you may notice, our Pavilion project is in full swing and is expected to be completed by the end of the month! Thank you so much to our PTA for their leadership in making this outdoor learning space possible! As this project is being completed, you will notice the area is fenced. At dismissal and whenever students are using the property, please make sure they are not playing near the fenced area for their safety.

Tomorrow, Monday, October 12th, is a  Staff Professional Development Day. There is no school for students.

Please note there is a change in the Genesis drop-down menu when reporting your Child's absence. The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) and the Department of Health (NJDOH) regulations require schools to collect weekly data on student illnesses; the information is confidential and solely for required state reporting.

A few PTA reminders and upcoming events:

• Our next restaurant giveback is next week at Mangia Bene on Wednesday, October 14th. Write or mention “Harrison Giveback” when ordering online, over the phone, or in person, and a percentage will be donated back to our Harrison community.

• Join us on Wednesday, October 28th, from 5-6:30 pm (rain date 10/29) for our annual Trunk or Treat!

  • Register by October 22nd for early bird pricing.

  • Help us fill the parking lot by signing up to host a trunk, and your children will also get free admission for the night.

  • Support the community’s trunks to help keep them filled all night by donating candy or by dropping off in the coolers at 37 Elmwood Drive or 70 N Mitchell Ave.
