Read Across America Week is here, and we are thrilled to celebrate all week long at Harrison! This year’s celebration is especially meaningful as we honor America’s 250th birthday by spotlighting our nation’s unique states and the diverse readers who make our country so special. Throughout the week, students will enjoy spirit days, special guest readers, and buddy activities that bring our school community together through the joy of reading. Happy Read Across America Week!

Harrison celebrated the 100th day of school with the theme “Red, White, & 100 Days Bright… Happy Birthday, America!” Students partnered with buddies from different classes to work through hands-on math stations. Thank you to Mrs. Pannia and Mrs. Velardi for planning and facilitating this great day!

Our Winter Concert was a success, with the Chorus, Band, and Orchestra performing at the Middle School! The performance reflected their hard work and commitment throughout the year. Thank you to Mrs. Matten, Ms. Vatoci, and Mrs. Wise for their continued support and instruction of our students!

In STEAM, 4th and 5th graders planned and designed their own arcade games using cardboard and recycled materials. On Tuesday, December 23rd, they transformed the main gym into an arcade, inviting younger students to play their games and earn tickets. The tickets were then entered into raffles, giving students a chance to win prizes. Well done 4th and 5th graders!
