A Message from Mr. Garcia 8-27-2025

Dear Harrison Families,

The first week was full of excitement and energy, and I want to thank you for helping make the start of our school year at Harrison such a success!

Overall, arrival has been smooth in the mornings, but I do need the community’s help with a few reminders. Parents are not permitted to park in the school parking lot during arrival and dismissal. If you would like to personally drop off or pick up your child, please park in the neighborhood. The front circle and front parking lot may not be used during these times. The Livingston Police Department has placed cones in front of the school and will enforce illegal parking, and I would like to prevent anyone from receiving a ticket.

Please also remember that students who arrive after 8:00 a.m. are marked tardy in Genesis. Three tardies count as one absence, so please review your routines and make any adjustments needed to ensure your child arrives on time each day. You can check your child's attendance in the parent portal. Teachers start their day with morning meetings that are meaningful and fun, and I want to make sure they are not unpacking at that time due to arriving late.

This Friday, we held our first 5th Grade Bake Sale of the year. After school on upcoming Fridays, 5th-grade parents will continue selling baked goods and snacks on the Kindergarten Blacktop near the Gaga Pits. Please see the dates below. All proceeds directly support our 5th graders and their special activities throughout the year. Thank you in advance for supporting them—before you know it, you will have a 5th grader too!

Please enjoy your Labor Day weekend with family and friends.
